    (July 26, 1921 - November 19, 1998) Paul was born in Chatham Hill, Virginia. He attended the University of Tennessee school of Agriculture. During World War II he was a navigator onboard a B-29. Later he retired from the Air Force Reserves with the rank of Major. In civilian life he worked as an instrument engineer for the Holson Defense Plant in Kingsport, Tennessee. He is buried at East Lawn Cemetery in Kingsport.

He retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. With a second 20-year career in civilian life, he helped grow the corporation Stanley Associates, Inc. from 16 to over 4,000 employees and retired as a Vice President in 2008. Marriage: Betty Jo Reed of Nickelsville, Virginia.
