George was born October 10, 1846. He was a farmer who lived in Hawkins County, Tennessee all his life except for the war. Both George and his father, James Davis Price fought on the Union side in the Civil War. They went into the conflict on the same day. Family tradition states that his father James hid out in the mountains from the draft of either side until George was old enough to join. (George would have been in his mid to late teens and James would have been in his mid 30's) On that day they both walked to Knoxville, Tennessee (about 60 miles) to volunteer. As of October 10, 1863, they were at Camp Nelson, Kentucky 8th Tennessee Cavalry, Company E. They were discharged Septrmber 17, 1865. They both went in privates and came out privates. George received a leg injury during the war. He and his father were fortunate to return together. George married at Rogersville, Tennessee (Hawkins County) January 12, 1865 and died at Eidson, Tennessee (Hawkins County) March 17, 1919.

2)William "Billy" Price: Born August 6, 1867. Died December 14, 1947. Married (1887) 1st, Lucy Heck (May 8, 1871 - December 24, 1909) who was the sister of Margaret Elizabeth Heck . Children: Ira A. Price (May 2,1888 - October 25, 1958), John Kyle Price (September 6, 1894 - August 4, 1961) and Della Price. Then divorced. Lucy is buried in the Creeches Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Hamblen County, Tennessee. William married 2nd, Effie Sutton. Children: Herman Price, Elmer Price, Elisha Price, Edgar Price, Laura Price, Raymond Price, Drew Price and Etheridge Price. William and Effie are buried in the Baker Cemetery in Hancock County, Tennessee.

4)Nancy Jane "Siss" Price: Born November 20, 1871. Died Februaray 11, 1938. She is buried at the Hamblen Cemetery. Married James Arthur Davis. He is buried at his old homeplace near Walker Cove. Child: William Harvey Davis.
5)Mimie "Minie" Price: Born October 18, 1873. Died December 6, 1935. Married James Nelson Manis. They are both buried at the Manis Cemetery. Children: Earl Manis, Leslie Manis and Edna Mae Manis.
6)Charles Cheeter Price: Born September 4, 1876. Died May 28, 1945. Married Noonie Kyle. They went west. First to Oklahoma then to New Mexico. Children: Eldridge Price, Houston Price, Neva Price, Beatrice Price, Jewel Price, Keith Price, Charlie Kyle Price and Mae Lona Price.
7)Stokley "Stoke" Price: Born September 13, 1877. Died March 18, 1959 Married Mattie Rogers.
8)Sarah Roxie Price: Born May 2, 1879. Died April 10, 1952 Married Hugh Blanken (his original name was Blankenbeckler) (March 15, 1879 - November 7, 1953). Children: George Blanken, Laura Blanken, May Blanken and Sue Blanken. Sarah and Hugh are buried in the Courtenay Cemetery.
9)Laura Price: Born June 3, 1881. Died July 6, 1944. Married John Amyx. No children.
