    Daniel was born 1699 in Westchester, England. He married about 1720 in England. Daniel came to North Carolina in 1728. He moved to Prince Edward County, Virginia in aprox. 1739. There on September 22, 1739 he bought 400 acres on the Briery River . Later, on August 30, 1743 he bought an additional 703 acres on Sandy River. tyTY where he died 1784 in Prince Edward, Virginia. Prince Edward County records include his will, which was recorded in 1784.

    2)Mary Hamblen: Born 1748 somewhere in Virginia. Married first Robert Prewitt (1729 - 1792). Married second ? Chandler (about 1744 - ????).

    3)Daniel H. Hamblen, Jr.: Born October 15, 1752 at Amelia County, Virginia, part of which later became Prince Edward, Virginia. Married first Sarah Davidson (1762 - 1793). Married second Rosamond Kenner (about 1756 - ????). Daniel migrated to Southwestern Virginia, then Fincastle County, where he obtained 400 acres of land by grant, lying on both sides of Clinch River, surveyed August 23, 1781, proving actual settlement, 1773. When Washington County (Virginia)was formed, 1776-7, from Fincastle and Montgomery counties, Daniel's land fell within the boundary of the new county. Daniel settled in Sullivan County, (Tennessee) the part that became Hawkins County,(Tennessee) in 1786. Daniel died September 14, 1802 in Rogersville, Hawkins County, Tennessee and is also buried there.     4)Henry Hamblen: Born March 15, 1740 at Prince Edward, Virginia. Married first Mary "Polly" Dickenson (1747 - 1783/1784 Fort Hamblen, Russell, Virginia) in 1770 at Prince Edward, Virginia. Married second Judith Watkins (about 1745 - 1862/1869) on 1762/1769 in Prince Edward, Virginia. Note: Judith was the sister of Elizabeth Watkins. Married third Mary Molly Blakemore (about 1758 - 1782 Fort Blackmore, Washington, Virginia) on 1783/1784 Augusta, Virginia. Henry died August 1815 and is buried at Fort Blackmore, Scott County, Virginia. Child with Mary "Polly" Dickenson: John Hamblen (about 1770 - ????), Note: My source has this "John" listed as female. Child with Judith Watkins: Chaney Hamblen (1763/1769 - ????).
