He was born October 1, 1763. I have found no record that he ever married, but he did manage to have a son by Rachel Carter. On June 13, 1811, he bought 94 acres in Poor Valley from his brother James Lamie. He then sold that land along with an additional 70 acres on the Northfork of the Holston River to Thomas Crabtree on February 13, 1823. John died March 6, 1830.
